Travel GO respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or book a tour with us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We only ask for what we need to answer your enquiry and run your tour:

When you enquire or book: your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, travel dates, number of travellers and any details you choose to tell us about your trip.
To operate a booking: passport details, dates of birth, dietary or medical requirements and emergency contacts, where these are needed for hotels, internal flights or park permits.
When you pay: payment is handled by our payment provider. Card numbers are entered on their secure page and are never seen or stored by us — we receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded, and the last four digits.
Automatically: basic technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visited, used to keep the site working and secure.

2. Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
To make the reservations your tour requires with hotels, guides and transport.
To take payment and issue receipts.
To contact you about your booking before, during and after travel.
To meet legal and accounting obligations.
To send you travel offers — only where you have asked us to, and you can stop at any time.

We share your details only with the people who need them to deliver your trip: the hotels, guides, drivers, airlines and activity operators in your itinerary, our payment provider, and — where required — government authorities such as immigration or national park administrations.

Some of these are outside your home country, which is unavoidable when travelling. We never sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

4. Cookies and third-party tools

This website uses a small number of cookies to keep the site functioning — for example, remembering your chosen language. If you use the language switcher, Google's translation service will process the page content in order to translate it. Our WhatsApp chat button and any embedded maps are provided by third parties who set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but some conveniences will be lost.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after 24 months. Booking and payment records are kept for seven years to meet Sri Lankan tax and accounting requirements. After that they are securely deleted.

6. Keeping it safe

Your information is held on access-controlled systems, and our website is served over an encrypted connection. Only staff who need your details in order to arrange your travel can see them. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these obligations seriously and will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

7. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

send you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
delete your information, where we are not legally required to keep it;
stop sending you marketing messages.

Write to info@travelgosl.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the relevant data protection authority.

8. Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 except as part of a family booking made by an adult.

9. Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Significant changes affecting existing customers will be notified by email.
